Today we had a visit from Sarah House from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service who told us how we can prevent fire hazards in our house and what we would need to do if there was a fire. We learnt some really important things and were really engaged in the conversations which took place in the class.
Sarah gave every member of the class a book to share with the family at home. Two key messages which the children learnt were that a smoke detector needs to be checked weekly and that every family needs a fire plan in case there was a fire. There is lots of other useful advice in the leaflet so do take a look!
